From the Editor: Notable and Noteworthy
QuikTrip owns and operates over 1000 convenience stores and gasoline service stations throughout seventeen states in the South, Midwest, and Southwest. Chester Cadieux and partner Burt Holmes opened the first QuikTrip in 1958 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Chester's son, Chet Cadieux III, is the current CEO. Around 20% of the privately-held company is owned by non-family members through an employee stock ownership plan (ESOP), while the Cadieux family controls most of the remainder.
